Here's some videos about our last gigs together with Dean Bowman
We started work together since 2015 and It was always a great experience. I am really honored to be a part of these awesome projects such as Bluesion (blues duo project), Handle With Care 4et with Mark Peterson from Nyc and Francesco De Rubeis and the latest band we will join together called "The High Security Level" with Jacopo Coretti and Carlo Raviola.
Play with Dean Bowman means that every night is a different night following the vibes during the concert and improvising the 90% of our show. That's totally cool because together with Dean I always had the opportunity to play great tunes like gospel songs, rural blues tunes and to learn a lot of stuff about black music. In fact Mr. Bowman is a real music lover and he is one of my mentors from I was a little. I remember me on the way back from school listening to "Screaming Headless Torsos" on my portable cd player and saying to my-self "One day you will play together with that guy..incredible!! Am I right??
Something about...
Dean Bowman is renowned internationally for his “rumbling baritone and heart-peeling falsetto… a showstopper” (Village Voice), and heralded by the Guardian as “soulful, charismatic, and technically brilliant… a star.” He has been described alternately as a “vocal-mentalist,” “tone poet,” “avant-garde gospel singer,” and a “jazz singer with the soul of a rocker,” for his work with Don Byron, “Do The Boomerang”, the music of Junior Walker (Blue Note/EMI), as well as touring the music of Ray Charles with John Scofield. Dean Bowman gratefully acknowledges traditional Black spirituals and gospel as “ground zero” for his creative development. Schooled by his mentors John Paxton and Dr. James Mumford, Bowman later studied under David Baker and Barry Harris. Dean was a featured voice of two characters for the Sony PlayStation game “Parrappa The Rappa.” He was also a featured vocalist for Québécité, an opera composed by D.D. Jackson, with libretto by Canadian-born poet-laureate George Elliot Clarke.
Stay tuned I will post a lot of photos and videos during our next tour.
